A LETTER TO OUR VISITORS

Thank you for your recent visit to Community Church. It was truly our pleasure to worship with you. Community Church is a family of real, friendly and inviting people. We are blending the contemporary with the traditional and teaching the Word without compromise. We invite you to be a part of a new and exciting movement of God’s people. If just visiting, then thanks for coming! Visit as often as you like. A Statement of Faith is available.

Who are we? LCC is a non-denominational body of believers who love the Lord and were led to leave a main-line denomination that was moving far away from Biblical truth. After much prayer, a new church was formed on July 29, 1992 with the name Lincoln Evangelical Church. The name was later changed to Lincoln Community Church in November of 2005.

Who is the Pastor with the WOW wife? This is my first pastorate but I bring a farming background and a lifetime of experience working with youth and Christian radio to the pulpit. I am a KSU graduate with hours from Calvary Theological Seminary in Kansas City. My wife, Jeanne, and I came to LCC in March of 2006. We have a heart for people to know the Lord and are looking for those young and old who have a desire for something new and fresh. We are looking for people who desire to reclaim ground Satan has stolen in our communities and families. Jeanne is the owner and operator of WOW! The Work Out Wellness Center in Lincoln.

Why does LCC exist? I believe God is calling us to be a non-denominational outreach in Lincoln. One that is attractive and effective in reaching beyond our doors. Shouldn’t one’s faith be fun, bold, exciting, determined, and infectious; shouldn’t our faith be so real people notice? Lincoln County has great communities with good people; yet, most do not know Christ as their Lord and Savior. If the church is going make an impact then we must make the message extremely real and relevant for today’s active families. At LCC, we are not trying to reinvent the wheel but we are trying to put a different face on the Lord’s timeless and changeless message so we don’t leave a generation of people behind who have no faith. Are you growing in your faith? Are your kids attracted to the church? Want to be a part of something new and exciting? Perhaps, LCC exists for you!

Why did the Lord bring you to visit LCC? Are you hungry for something different? We are looking for singles and families who want to grow in their faith and be used by God. We are not perfect at Community Church – only forgiven! We love the Lord and recognize we are made strong for Christ through our weakness. You and I live in the shadow of Christ’s Return – exciting times! If God is calling you …our doors are open.
